"Being able to return to pottery after a 12 year hiatus, I have created a new selection of work influenced by my relocation to the Far South Coast 14 years ago - the visual experience and sense of connection. Though moving away from my focus on pit-firing in Melbourne, I decided my new wheelthrown forms and glazing technique would still reference aspects of my previous work (hand-carving, lidded boxes, bottles, crackle and matt glazes ) but with a new lightness and colour.“
